Body Combat

Body Combat

Body Combat Body Combat is a type of Fitness created by New Zealander Les Mills, an elite athlete who has represented his country several times at the Olympics in discus throw, weight throw and weight lifting.
Despite being a recent discipline, it has become one of the most popular activities at gyms across the whole world.

Body Combat is an aerobic sport based on choreographies which incorporate moves from various martial arts and contact sports such as punches and kicks.

A great part of its success is due to the fact that it is a very entertaining way of exercise which helps release a lot of stress and adrenaline.

Body Combat choreographies are increasingly incorporating moves from Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), which in turn are drawn from Muay Thai, Karate, Boxing and others.

Its practice is recommended 3 times a week for effective weight loss and muscle strengthening.

As in every program by LES MILLS™, a new BODYCOMBAT™ routine is developed every 3 months with new music and choreography.

Roninwear offers all the equipment you need for your Body Combat classes. Below is a list with all the stuff you need and recommendations based on the most common preferences of our hundreds of clients:
- MMA shorts: the most popular ones are from Brazilian brand Venum, which have been featured in several choreographies by Les Mills. Another popular and more affordable option are shorts from Spanish brand Buddha Sports. Nevertheless, regardless of which of our brands you decide to choose, we always recommend shorts designed for MMA, as well as with side slits for better leg mobility when kicking or crouching. Any queries, feel free to contact us.
- T-shirts: for the upper body, those who practice Body Combat usually use T-shirts made of cotton or breathable dry-fit fabrics. As for shorts, the most popular brand is Venum but you are the one who decides.
Roninwear is a shop committed to the growth of the sports it is specialized in and, because of this, part of our profits are destined to sponsor events in all of these sports, including Body Combat.
